At CAN, we believe that education is about consciousness-raising, challenging power inequities of various forms, and promoting social change through resistance and activism. We adopt creative formats for healing, education, and outreach both within and outside of the center, which may include:
- A space for healing and artivism;
- Intimacy-centered conversational spaces for undergraduates, graduates, staff, and faculty members;
- Dialogue-centered workshops;
- Knowledge-based workshops;
- Classroom presentations;
- Vulnerability-centered events;
- Building alliances across campus as well as with community partners
