Peers To Allies
Now going on it’s third year, Peers to Allies is a violence prevention program that situates leadership, bystander education, crisis support and social justice as the cornerstones for student engagement. Participants attend a three night camping retreat where student leaders are instructed through an evidence-based curriculum that increases their ability to recognize interpersonal violence and learn value skills of bystander intervention; all while making meaningful connections with other student leaders from the UIC community. Peers to Allies participants have a unique opportunity to take what they learn at camp and apply it to the different spaces they occupy. Anyone can attend and be trained at Peers.
